Stage timing, audio cues, troubleshooting
Start any timer — OnStage Timer Pro automatically presents a Live Activity on iPhone (iOS 17+) and on the Dynamic Island (iPhone 14 Pro+ / 15 / 16 / 17 Pro). The timer continues counting down even when the app is backgrounded. Tap the Live Activity to bring the app forward.
Yes — pair your Watch to your iPhone, and the timer appears on the Watch face automatically when running. Tap-to-pause from the Watch.
Yes. Connect via AirPlay or Lightning-to-HDMI / USB-C-to-HDMI. The full-screen mirror shows huge digits the speaker can read from across the stage.
Configurable: 5-min warning, 1-min warning, 30-sec warning, 10-sec countdown beeps, end alarm. Each can be enabled or muted individually. Volume override is on by default — even with silent switch on, the cues play (configurable in Settings).
Make sure "Override silent switch" is on in Settings → Audio. We also configure AVAudioSession for playback so cues fire regardless of ringer state. If cues still don't play, restart the app once — the audio session sometimes needs a fresh init after a system audio interruption (call, FaceTime).
iOS terminates Live Activities after 8 hours. If your talk is shorter than that, the activity should never expire. Common causes for premature termination: iOS low-power mode, a different app with a higher-priority Live Activity, or an iOS background freeze. Open OnStage Timer Pro to refresh.
OnStage Timer Pro disables the iOS idle timer while a timer is running — your screen stays awake. If you paused the timer, the idle timer reactivates after iOS's normal delay. To keep the screen on while paused, use Settings → "Keep screen always on".
Live Activities sometimes lag a second or two during scenePhase transitions (background → foreground). On foreground, OnStage Timer Pro re-syncs the activity. If the timer is consistently wrong, force-quit and re-launch.
Download OnStage Timer Pro and never lose track of time again.
