Coloring tips and troubleshooting

Coloring

How do I fill a region?

Pick a color from the palette, tap any region — done. Tap again to change. For shading effects, use Apple Pencil on iPad with pressure sensitivity enabled.

Can I save a page mid-color and come back later?

Yes — auto-save every 30 seconds. Closing the app preserves your work. Tap the page in the gallery to resume.

Are new pages added regularly?

Monthly content drops. Subscribers get the full library; free tier gets the starter pack + 1 free page from each new drop.

Apple Pencil

Pencil pressure isn't doing anything

Settings → Drawing → Pressure Sensitivity → enable. Apple Pencil 1st gen works for tap-fill but lacks pressure for shading.

Hover preview missing on iPad Pro M2+

Settings → Drawing → Pencil Hover Preview → enable. Shows where the next color will land before you tap.

Troubleshooting

Lost a finished page

Pages are stored in the on-device gallery. iOS Backup (iCloud or computer) preserves them. After a restore, your gallery comes back.

Export to PDF is blurry

Use Settings → Export → High Resolution PDF (Pro feature). Free tier exports at 1024x1024 which is fine for screen sharing but soft for print. Pro exports at 4096x4096.

Color picker doesn't show all palettes

Custom palettes are tied to Pro. Free tier shows the 5 starter palettes. Restore Purchase if you've upgraded but don't see them.
