Pro countdown for presenters
The all-in-one stage timer and speech coach for speakers, presenters, and performers. Build a full run of show, rehearse with a delivery score, then nail your timing with a full-screen countdown, smart stage colors, and external display support.
Bold and visible. Perfect for stages and studios.
Clean and distraction-free. Focus on what matters.
Bright and readable. Great for well-lit environments.
Build a rundown of named segments — Opening, Keynote, Q&A — each with its own duration, color thresholds, and cues. The timer auto-advances segment to segment with a handoff cue, so you run a whole meeting or show from one screen. Manual-advance, skip, pause, and an end-of-event summary included.
Practice your talk and get a 0–100 Delivery Score combining speaking pace (words per minute), filler words, and how close you land to your target time — with progress trends so you improve every session.
One tap to set up the right timing for Toastmasters speech types, TED-style talks, sermons, panels, webinars, and lightning talks.
Turn your phone to landscape, set it on the lectern, and glance down at a clean, giant countdown.
Timer continues past zero showing negative time (e.g., "-02:30") so you know exactly how far over you've gone.
Customizable green/yellow/red thresholds. Set your own warning and critical time points.
Mirror to HDMI or USB-C displays from iPad. Your audience sees the countdown too.
Control your timer from your wrist. Start, pause, and monitor without touching your phone.
See the running timer and current segment on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, even when the app is in the background.
Add or subtract 30 seconds or 1 minute while the timer is running. Adapt on the fly.
Display motivational messages at each stage. Personalize the experience.
Save configurations for different events. Store duration, thresholds, colors, and alerts.
Multiple cue tone options with optional haptic feedback. Choose what works for your environment.
A precise timing engine keeps your countdown accurate and stays in sync after backgrounding or a phone-call interruption.

Event Mode (Run of Show). Build a rundown of named segments (Opening, Keynote, Q&A…), each with its own duration, color thresholds, and cues. Start the event and the timer auto-advances segment to segment with a distinct handoff cue — run a whole meeting or show from one screen. Includes manual-advance mode, skip, pause, an end-of-event summary, and starter rundowns for a Toastmasters meeting and a conference talk. The current segment shows on the iPad external display, Apple Watch, and Lock Screen.
Use-case template packs (Toastmasters, TED-style talks, sermons, panels, webinars), a 0–100 Rehearsal Delivery Score, custom filler words, and Podium landscape mode. Speaking pace and scoring now accurate for Chinese and Japanese, with all new screens translated across 9 languages.
Full localization across 9 languages covering the remaining Rehearsal, Settings, Presets, and Apple Watch screens. Added an access-code unlock, trimmed the widget to the working Live Activity, and fixed presets and settings being lost after an update.
Stage cues now play through the silent switch, the countdown stays accurate after backgrounding and auto-pauses on calls, and the Apple Watch companion no longer requests Health permissions.
Stage timing, audio cues, troubleshooting
Start any timer — OnStage Timer Pro automatically presents a Live Activity on iPhone (iOS 17+) and on the Dynamic Island (iPhone 14 Pro+ / 15 / 16 / 17 Pro). The timer continues counting down even when the app is backgrounded. Tap the Live Activity to bring the app forward.
Yes — pair your Watch to your iPhone, and the timer appears on the Watch face automatically when running. Tap-to-pause from the Watch.
Yes. Connect via AirPlay or Lightning-to-HDMI / USB-C-to-HDMI. The full-screen mirror shows huge digits the speaker can read from across the stage.
Configurable: 5-min warning, 1-min warning, 30-sec warning, 10-sec countdown beeps, end alarm. Each can be enabled or muted individually. Volume override is on by default — even with silent switch on, the cues play (configurable in Settings).
Make sure "Override silent switch" is on in Settings → Audio. We also configure AVAudioSession for playback so cues fire regardless of ringer state. If cues still don't play, restart the app once — the audio session sometimes needs a fresh init after a system audio interruption (call, FaceTime).
iOS terminates Live Activities after 8 hours. If your talk is shorter than that, the activity should never expire. Common causes for premature termination: iOS low-power mode, a different app with a higher-priority Live Activity, or an iOS background freeze. Open OnStage Timer Pro to refresh.
OnStage Timer Pro disables the iOS idle timer while a timer is running — your screen stays awake. If you paused the timer, the idle timer reactivates after iOS's normal delay. To keep the screen on while paused, use Settings → "Keep screen always on".
Live Activities sometimes lag a second or two during scenePhase transitions (background → foreground). On foreground, OnStage Timer Pro re-syncs the activity. If the timer is consistently wrong, force-quit and re-launch.
Download OnStage Timer Pro and never lose track of time again.
